Tardarina Hill

Tardarina Hill is located in the West Pilbara Mineral Field approximately 60km south of Whim Creek.

The Tardarina Hill area contains rocks predominantly from the archaean mallina formation, which includes interbedded shale, silt stone and medium to fine grained wacke and minor layers of chert. The mallina formation has been intruded by a gabbroic sill and minor outcrops of granitic bodies consisting of medium to course grained hornblende biotite granodiorite.

Visible gold has been identified from rock chips collected from several of the quartz veins. The Tardarina Hill prospect is within a geological environment similar to that hosting the Station Peak Mine, the largest historical gold producer in the area.

The greatest potential for discovery in this tenure is narrow high grade gold associated with quartz veins or sheers. From past discoveries and historic production, such as at the Station Peak Mine, potential discoveries could be in the order of 10,000oz at +10g per tonne Au.
